Top 10 Books of 2010

2010 has been one interesting year... had to buy a new car, graduated with my MLIS so now I am an unpracticing Librarian, got married, and of course read many books.  Of course I was not able to read as much as I wanted to but that is what 2011 will be for.  I read many amazing books in 2010; here are my top 10 (even though some of these were published before 2010...):

#1: Bright Star by John Keats  (my review)
#2:  Nevermore by Kelly Creagh   (my review)
#3:  Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
#4:  Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr (my review)
#5:  Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr  (my review)
#6:  Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick  (my review)
#7:  Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick
#8:  Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles  (my review)
#9:  Rules of Attraction by Simone Elkeles
#10:  Fallen by Lauren Kate  (my review)

I look forward to what 2011 will bring!

Waiting on Wednesday (7)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Chain Reaction (Perfect Chemistry #3) by Simone Elkeles

I CAN NOT wait any longer!!  Simone Elkeles has become one of my favorite authors this year.  I love her writing style and the development of her characters.

Luis Fuentes is a good boy who doesn't live with the angst that his big brothers, Alex and Carlos, have always lived with. Luis is smart, funny, and has big dreams of becoming an astronaut. But when he falls for the wrong girl, Luis enters a dark world he's never known, and just when he thinks he's got life all figured out, learns some disturbing news about his family that destroys his positive outlook on life. Will that Fuentes bad boy streak come out with a vengeance and lure Luis to live on the edge like his new girlfriend and his own father?  (GoodReads)
