YA Saves

Teens today face many issues that they don't talk about, don't know how to talk about, don't know where to go for information and support, and even issues they may not know exist.  In a reaction to the Wall Street Journal Article in 2011 a huge frenzy overwhelmed Twitter with the hashtag #YASaves.  Teens, adults and everyone in between shared their oppinions, emotions, and thoughts on this article as well as how YA Books have affected them in good and bad ways.

I for one did not want this to end.  So I decided to make it my personal mission to keep the momentum and purpose of #YASaves alive, even if it is only on this blog.  I want to make sure that #YASaves and its message is not forgotten. In doing so I have started a new meme, my first meme:

As you can guess this meme will focus on all that is YASaves.
I am hoping that this meme will bring more awareness and discussion to the importance of Young Adult Literature.
Not only do I hope there will be great discussion, but there will be reviews and maybe even some guest posts from authors and other bloggers.

#YASaves on Twitter
After the infamous WSJ article was posted a new hashtag was created on twitter: #YASaves.  Since then things have never been the same.  I started to compile images of all the #YASaves tweets to share with readers.  #YASaves is the beginning of YA Saves Sunday.
